World Cynosports Rally
World Cynosport Rally Limited (WCRL) is a dog sport that tests a dog and handler’s ability to navigate a course and perform obedience exercises. The sport is designed to be fun and inclusive, and is open to dogs of all ages, breeds, and physical abilities.
WCRL is a sport that anyone can do, regardless of physical limitations. Dogs of all ages and breeds, purebred and mixed, are encouraged to participate.
Here are some details about WCRL Rally:
- Course: The course is made up of numbered signs that indicate different exercises, such as “Sit-Down-Sit”, “Figure 8”, or “Spiral Left”.
- Scoring: Rally scoring starts at 100 points, and points are deducted as the dog and handler progress through the course. A score of at least 70 points is required to qualify for a title.
- News and updates: WCRL has a newsletter, Facebook page, and group for news and updates.
- The Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) first introduced Rally Obedience in 2001, and WCRL was formed in 2012 to take over the program’s operations. WCRL is an affiliate of United States Dog Agility Association (USDAA).
We host 3 WCRL rally trials each year. We hold them on the same weekend and at the same location as our CDSP obedience trials.
